The typical gamer stereotype has changed massively in the last couple of decades. Gone are the days where gamers were just teenage boys, now people of all shapes, genders and sizes are gamers. New parents of today have probably grown up gaming, as the last three decades saw a massive rise in gaming and a huge improvement in graphical and storytelling power. A lot of video games these days are loud, violent and even harrowing in their narrative. Unfortunately, this means they’re far from suitable for girls under 10 years old! Luckily for all you parents, we’ve put together a list of the 10 best PS4 games for girls under 10 years old.

We thought now would be a good time to update this list with even more games that will encourage your children to get creative and invest in fantastic stories without worrying about anything too graphic or violent.
15 Forager
Forager is a fun open-world adventure game where the player progresses through a large landscape by gathering resources, building tools, objects, and solving puzzles. It also involves a lot of simulation activities that let you cook, mine, farm, manufacture things, perform magic, and much more.
It received mostly positive reviews from game critics. As you do more activities, your character will earn more XP that lets them advance to new stages and levels. You will also encounter new types of enemies and NPC throughout your adventure.
14 Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy
The Crash Bandicoot games are great for all-ages, although they can be somewhat difficult. But the good thing about the newly remastered version is it includes all three games and a very colorful art style that should definitely entice younger players.
It is a platforming game where you go through each level of the game as Crash and in some of the games, you get to play as other characters too. It is really fun to go through the different stages and try to stop the evil Doctor Neo Cortex. The game also has a lot of great humor.
13 Sonic Mania
Sonic Mania is a critically-acclaimed Sonic game released on multiple platforms and great for people who are looking for something new for their daughter.
It is influenced by the original Sega Genesis Sonic games and includes side-scrolling stages where players will help characters get through different obstacles to complete challenges and beat the game. Users will play as Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles as they try and defeat Sonic's nemesis Doctor Eggman.
12 Horizon Zero Dawn
Horizon Zero Dawn is a fantastic and immersive video game that features a female protagonist. If you have a girl who loves gaming, you might consider introducing her to this roleplaying game.
Rating-wise, it is rated teen and has some adult themes but it's definitely not as mature as some of the other RPGs out there and it's great for young girls to see complex female characters depicted in games, Aloy is a wonderful role model. If it was a movie, it would be rated PG-13 so it might be up to you if your daughter is mature enough or perhaps an adult can play along with her.
11 The Sims 4
A lot of kids start playing Sims at a young age, there's a reason that many people in their 20s and 40s remember what it was like the play The Sims when they were only in middle school. Yes, there are some adult themes but it's nothing too extreme that a 10-year-old girl couldn't play without some adult supervision if parents felt necessary.
The game is a fun and addictive way to build their own worlds and characters, create unique families and play out complex storylines. Plus Sims 4 allows tons of customization for creative-minded kids.

A fun, chaotic game that can be played with friends provides the perfect sleepover entertainment, as well as a brilliant way to bond with your little princess. So, get those hats on and get ready dish out those meals in Overcooked!

A bright, loud and colorful game, Yooka-Layleelets you take control of a green lizard (Yooka) and a bat with a rather big nose (Laylee). Traverse five giant worlds as you collect all the Pagies you can find to defeat the corporate creep Capital B.
Full of a variety of puzzles, creatures, and enemies, take this bizarre yet dynamic duo across the five worlds and save the day. This game is a perfect modernization of the platformers we used to play in our heyday, and your little girl is sure to love it.

If your little girl likes to combine imaginative adventure with creativity (that doesn’t ruin your walls!), then Minecraftis the game for them.
